Patient-focused Care

Safe and appropriate rehabilitation comes from understanding your patient and including their goals on their recovery journey.  Every client is different.  Every rehabilitation is different.   Your understanding of your condition is crucial in your management.  Asking questions at your consults will further improve your outcome.

Comprehensive Assessment

It is important that a comprehensive assessment of your condition is completed at your first appointment.  This often requires spending some time discussing your symptoms and how they interfere with your life.  Only then can appropriate treatment and management of your condition be implemented appropriately.  There is no such thing as a “quick fix”.

Injury and Trauma Rehabilitation

If you have ever sustained an injury, you will understand how this can impact your work and life.  Correct exercises and appropriate rehabilitation will allow you to resume your life journey successfully with minimal disruption.  Evidence-based treatment practices and experience are required for rehabilitation.

EQUESTRIAN ATHLETES

Are you a horse rider returning to the sport or recovering from a fall or injury?

Allison Wheatley has worked with equestrian riders from all disciplines and understands the requirements to return to your sport.  Allison is an adult rider and participates in dressage, show jumping and eventing when her schedule permits.

A thorough assessment, diagnosis and appropriate rehabilitation from a qualified health professional is essential before returning to your riding following a significant injury.

Riders need specific strengthening to ride effectively.  Allison uses the “Activate your Seat” exercise program (developed by Maeve Sheridan, who is a UK Charted physiotherapist and Veterinary Physiotherapist). Make a booking today for specialist treatment and rehabilitation.
